Compact Spiral hose from Parker Hannifin offers 5000- and 6000-psi (345- and 415-bar) hose performance in a compact design. 787TC and 797TC hose currently is available in sizes -8, -10, -12, and -16. The hose offers half the bend radius and a 30% smaller outside diameter compared to conventional spiral hose and requires less effort to bend. As a result, bends can begin sooner, reducing the total amount of hose needed. Compact Spiral also is easier to route and install. More hose can be routed into tight quarters, and customers can move to a larger hose size to improve flow characteristics. The hose has been tested to 2 million impulse cycles and weighs up to 26% less than standard spiral hose, resulting in fuel savings for equipment with multiple hydraulic hoses, including car carriers and refuse trucks.
