Northrop Grumman to move corporate office to Washington, D.C., region

Northrop Grumman Corp. announced plans to move its corporate office from Los Angeles, CA, to the Washington, D.C., region by 2011. The company is looking to identify a specific site location and is assessing options in the District, Maryland, and Virginia. It plans to complete the search by this spring and open the new office by summer 2011. The office will include approximately 300 people. California will remain a significant location for Northrop Grumman research, development, and manufacturing, where approximately 30,000 employees work, representing a quarter of Northrop Grumman's worldwide employment. Its Aerospace Systems sector is headquartered in Redondo Beach, and each of the company's other four sectors have major facilities in the state.
