Mico's check valve assembly for full-power brake systems is a compact manifold assembly with a check valve and inverted shuttle valve. The assembly supplies fluid for two separate accumulator circuits while reducing the number of system components and limiting plumbing and hardware requirements. Suitable for full-power hydraulic brake systems that store energy in two separate circuits, the assembly features flow capacity up to 11 gal/min (42 L/min) and a maximum operating pressure of 3625 psi (250 bar). Pressure is supplied to two accumulators by the assembly’s inlet port. Potential applications include split systems with a pressure-compensated pump and electrohydraulic accumulator charging controlled by a pressure transducer. A check valve with leakage limited to 0.25 cm3/min at 3500 psi (240 bar) maximum prevents pressure at the switch port from leaking back to the inlet port, and the design prevents hydraulic system failure points.
