The new platform, GoDirect Trade, improves access to new and used aircraft parts for airlines, air transport, and business aviation customers by offering clear pricing and direct inventory access.
Marvin Test Solutions Inc. – a provider of test solutions for aerospace, defense, and manufacturing organizations – is shipping its MTS-3060A SmartCan Gen2 Universal O-Level Armament Test Set. Defense organizations in multiple countries have selected the MTS-3060A for flight-line test to ensure mission readiness of complex armament systems flown on the F-15, F-16, F/A-18, and Hawk.
The goal is a zero-emission, all-electric aircraft that must reach or exceed a target speed of 300 miles per hour (480 kilometers per hour) by 2020. The team plans to build, test, and commercialize the aircraft in a market that does not yet exist all within a 24-month span.
The digital automatic flight control system can be programmed for autonomous operations such as flight stabilization and unmanned flight to set checkpoints; however, Boeing is currently working with the Canadian military to increase the Chinook’s autonomous capabilities.
