As an expansion of its automotive product portfolio, AVX offers a compact radial-leaded, high-temperature varistor solution. The AEC Q200-qualified spacing-saving TransGuard series was developed specifically for harsh environments, including under-the-hood automotive applications. Featuring an operating temperature of 150°C (302°F), the radial-leaded high-temperature automotive TransGuard series provides bi-directional transient voltage protection in on-state as well as electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) attenuation in the off-state. Providing high energy/current handling capability and 25-kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) rating, the RoHS-compliant TransGuard series’ robust construction makes it suitable for down-hole drilling and other harsh environment applications as well.
