Sauer-Danfoss Inc. has established a “stand-alone” business named Valmova, derived from the company’s tag line “Valves with More Value,” effective May 1. Valmova will manufacture and sell directional control valves, which were previously manufactured and marketed within the central Sauer-Danfoss organization. This new business will have a major focus on targeted applications within agriculture and construction. Rinaldo Fernandes has been named Director of Valmova, and he will manage all aspects of the business, including production facilities in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, and Pune, India. “Through our growing applications expertise and conversations with customers, we discovered that there are tangible differences for this product line, especially in terms of customer needs, and now Valmova will bring an enhanced focus on additional features and functionality,” said Sven Ruder, President and CEO of Sauer-Danfoss. Other members of the Sauer-Danfoss Group include Comatrol, Turolla OpenCircuitGear, and Schwarzmüller-Inverter, as well as the joint-venture company Hydro-Gear.
