Kontron offers the Interparlo application-ready Internet-on-train server, a configurable 3U CompactPCI platform in a 19-in (483-mm) rack format designed for railroad WiFi and passenger infotainment applications. The EN50155-compliant server with long-term availability can be configured with the company's embedded CompactPCI modules, enabling OEMs to implement customized Internet and infotainment and develop train maintenance and remote diagnostics. The server is prevalidated, pretested, and configured to meet individual application needs, including various wireless communication options, separate controllers and disks for streaming applications, and an Ethernet switch to connect to intelligent interfaces and train networks. A coating can be applied to protect the system against humidity and dust.
