The QuickSwitch 6259R RoHS-compliant network switch from Electro Standards Laboratories is a manually operated 16-channel ST simplex fiber optic A/B/Offline switch that features microelectromechanical systems-based mirror/prism switch technology and supports Gigabit data rates. The unit allows devices connected to the common port of each channel access to the A or B port on each channel. All channels are switched simultaneously. The switch is enclosed in a 2U rack-mount casing. The front-panel LED display indicates all of the switch positions and unit power status. The device is bit-rate and data transparent and features optical data throughput scalability.
