Hall-effect switches

APEM adds two durably constructed IH-series Hall-effect switches for rugged, harsh environments. The low-maintenance, contact-less, sealed push buttons are offered with linear proportional output or as a momentary switch. Life expectancy is over 5 million cycles; other features include a low behind-panel depth, compact size, and protection against water immersion to 1 m (3.3 ft). The series reduces maintenance in remote military or outdoor locations with difficult switch replacement. The linear version for valves or variable speed drives controls motion and speed on heavy-duty equipment and handling applications and functions as an additional axis for handgrip/joystick operations. Momentary switches are rated for 28 V dc. All customizable IH switches feature an output range from 0.5 to 4.5 V and operate from -40 to +85°C (-40 to +185°F).
