A reversible intelligent motor controller from Trombetta can be customized to meet dc motor application requirements. The controller is capable of switching loads up to 100 A and provides dynamic braking and transitions between forward and reverse directions. Preset limits are incorporated to protect the electrical system, including over-voltage and over-current, over-temperature shutdown, low-voltage disconnect, and stalled motor detection. The unit can be customized to provide advanced controls such as proportional speed, programmed acceleration/deceleration, and separation in multibattery systems. Suitable for dc motor applications including truck/train tarp systems, winches/windlasses, bow thrusters, boat and truck lifts, turrets, plows, and RV slides, the robust controller increases motor control functionality while reducing the footprint, according to the company. Range is 6 to 48 V dc.
