To optimize engine performance, it is important for engineers to factor in the turbocharger from the beginning, according to Concepts NREC. Similarly, turbocharger design should be done with the mated engine in mind. To optimize turbocharger design, Concepts NREC offers two software modules. TurboMatch software enables users to develop turbocharger designs for specific engine systems. TurboOPT II software offers a multilevel approach to performing sequential, coupled, nested, and combined optimization of turbocharger designs. The company’s customers use TurboMatch and TurboOPT II software as part of the Agile Engineering Design System.
