Side entry bushing

  • 10-Apr-2011 04:01 EDT

TE Connectivity’s side entry bushing (SEB) for aerospace and marine environments is designed for high-temperature applications where tape or fixed grommets are used. One strip of the precoiled, reusable SEB can replace up to 6 ft and 40 wraps of silicone tape. The flexible, compressible bushings are thermally formed so they naturally conform and gather circular bundles to provide strain relief where environmental sealing is not required. The SEB does not contain an adhesive layer, which makes the product easily removable without leaving residue, and can be reused often after repairs are made. The bushings are thermoformed from a flame-retardant silicon elastomer with a temperature rating to 180°C continuous use.
