Kepware Technologies' KEPServerEX version 5.5 power control and communications server adds simple network management protocol (SNMP) agent capabilities and configuration enhancements to simplify project configuration. The SNMP agent allows network management systems interoperability with industrial automation equipment, familiarizing the control network toolset for professionals. KEPServerEX version 5.5 simplifies project configuration by allowing users to configure all modem settings and behaviors within the KEPServerEX environment; certain functionalities within client applications do not have to be scripted. In addition, an improved multiple tag generation tool enables users to automate the creation of tag databases with minimal effort. Other enhancements include automatic device discovery and security features for the drivers and additional support for various models and device functions.
