The dSPACE MicroAutoBox embedded PC is an optional extension for the MicroAutoBox compact prototyping system tailored to current development trends. The embedded PC features a 1.6-GHz Intel Atom processor, 2-GB RAM, a 2.5-in (63.5-mm) hard- or solid-state disk drive, and interfaces for application options. Functions are computed on the MicroAutoBox's real-time prototyping unit while additional applications such as digital road maps and camera-based object detection can run on the PC, enabling the unit to develop advanced driver assistance, telematics, and image processing systems. An integrated Gigabit ethernet switch allows the unit and PC to be hosted with the same cable. Input voltage range, sleep-mode current consumption, and overvoltage protection are permanently installed, and the front panel provides three connectors, four USB interfaces, and a video data output.
