High-reliability, high-sensitivity color LEDs from Optek Technology are processed to MIL-PRF-19500-level TX and TXV specifications and provide military systems engineers with high-brightness color illumination and indication with well-defined patterns. The OVM4x series LEDs feature hermetically sealed TO-46 packaging with built-in ESD protection, and come in blue, green, red, and yellow. The devices function in extreme conditions typically found in defense electronics, military vehicle lighting, and harsh industrial applications. The units exhibit continuous forward current of 100 mA, with a peak forward current rating of 1.6 A (at 10% duty cycle, 1 kHz). Power dissipation is 370 mW; current linearity vs. ambient temperature rating is -0.2 mA/°C. Operating temperature range is -55 to +100°C.
