SIE Computing Solutions’ 3U OpenVPX backplane is designed for board-agnostic system design and integration. The device forms a flexible standard design that allows for multiple vendor boards and other system components without sacrificing interoperability. The backplane is a centralized six-slot design that provides maximum flexibility for both customization and varied standardization between OpenVPX profiles. Based on a ratified profile that addresses the centralized switching topology increasingly important to military and defense applications, the backplane is a core design foundation developed to meet the requirements of multiple designs with minimal adjustments for customers.
