Dual-keyed couplings

A line of large bore couplings featuring axial and annular keyways for use with pumps and mixer paddles driven by unsupported shafts is offered by Stafford Manufacturing. The dual-keyed coupling's axial and annular keyways transmit torque while restraining lateral motion in the unsupported shaft-driven pumps and mixers. Offered in 1- to 5-in (25.4- to 127-mm) sizes, the keyways are machined to customer specifications and are available in steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Straight or stepped bores are designed to join dissimilar shafts, while standard parts can be case-hardened and feature additional screws to carry heavier loads.
