B/E Aerospace signed an agreement to acquire TSI Group Inc, which designs, engineers, and manufactures customized, fully integrated, thermal management and interconnect solutions that address complex power management requirements of OEMs in the aerospace and defense industries. Demand for thermal management was first required and developed for power management on military subsystems for aircraft, helicopters, ground systems, and a broad array of additional applications that need extensive electrical and computing power in small lightweight footprints that require controlled but rapid dissipation of heat. The technology has begun a significant migration into the commercial aerospace market. The purchase price is approximately $310 million.
