The NRW-PS300 hybrid battery tab welding machine from Nippon Avionics (Avio) is specifically designed for the assembly of lithium-ion batteries. An addition to Avio’s lineup of resistance welding machines, the NRW-PS300 is suitable for welding battery tabs to the electrode of a battery to form a battery pack. The welding machine features Avio’s hybrid method of combining high-speed rising time of a dc type and a high-speed polarity switch of an inverter type. The NRW-PS300 is equipped with functions suitable for battery tab welding, such as a high-quality appearance, consistent welding strength, and stable welding quality with its four-channel welding. By minimizing the Peltier effect, both welding spots are of high-quality strength and appearance. Furthermore, consistent heat balance results in longer electrode life.
