Because advanced telematics applications require improved communications and processing, the Phoenix International modular gateway offers mobile communications and processing integrating GPS and GPRS data and onboard machine communications via CAN, RS232, or ethernet. The module is sealed to perform in demanding environmental conditions and is suited for machine health monitoring, remote diagnostics and repair, advanced logistics, and machine control. It can be combined with external, peripheral modules to provide additional wireless communication options such as Wi-Fi, satellite, or short-range radio and offers SIM options, including embedded, solderable, and plug-in card. The company's satellite gateway communications module transmits and receives critical data about equipment performance in extreme environmental conditions, including excessive temperature, vibration, shock, and moisture. Working over a satellite network via short burst data service, it communicates on an RS232 connection to external electronic modules.
