The Zytel Plus nylon family of products from DuPont Performance Polymers maintains improved performance levels despite exposure to hot oil, air, calcium chloride, and other aggressive chemicals. Zytel Plus nylon preserves the design features of nylon and replaces metal for cost and weight savings. Shield technology combines a polymer backbone and a set of additives to improve performance and allows the product to withstand long-term exposure to heat and chemicals. Chemistries are optimized for each product based on the targeted application. The Zytel Plus nylon family includes Zytel Plus 95G35, for long-term performance at temperatures up to 210˚C (410˚F); Zytel Plus 95G50, with improved stiffness and creep at high temperatures; Zytel Plus 93G35, with improved weld lines; and Zytel Plus 90G30, offering resistance to hot engine coolant and improved properties with water contact.
