Tracer Products introduces the TP-8697HD heavy-duty complete leak detection kit for capturing air-conditioning and fluid leaks. The TP-8697HD kit features an OPTIMAX3000 high-intensity, blue light LED leak detection flashlight, offering more brightness than standard LED lamps, according to the company. Comparable to 150 W lamps, the kit offers an inspection range up to 20 ft (6.1 m), is powered by a NiMH battery, and features a 50,000-h service life. The kit also includes an EZ-Ject A/C dye injector with hose and couplers, two EZ-Ject universal A/C dye cartridges with co-solvent free Fluoro-Lite dye, a bottle of Dye-Lite oil dye, a bottle of Dye-Lite coolant dye, and fluorescence-enhancing glasses. Everything is stored in a plastic carrying case, and all dyes were proven safe for use in hybrid vehicles.

Making off-highway equipment, such as construction or agriculture machines, more efficient continues to be a priority after the final phase-in of the U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. “Some of the companies we work with are running out of credits and unfortunately still struggling with Tier 4,” explained Tristan Donley, Technical Director, Off-Highway Heavy Vehicles North American for Exa, a supplier of software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
The MTEK Subsystem (Marvin Test Expansion Kit) from Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), Inc. adds test capabilities to legacy semiconductor test systems that lack the ability to meet the test requirements of current devices.
Engineers are adding sensors, more powerful micros and faster networks as they automate tasks and pave the way to autonomy.
The accuracy of an NO gas sensor (the primary component of NOx) can be compromised when exposed to ambient temperatures above 86°F (30°C) and significantly more so above 104°F (40°C).
