Caterpillar expands its line of Cat Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB technology industrial engines with the Acert C13, C15, C18, C27, and C32. The engines range from 385 to 1200 bhp (287 to 895 bkW) and provide a broad choice of options for OEMs and end customers across a range of heavy-duty applications in the agricultural, construction, mining, forestry, and general industrial markets. The Cat industrial engines feature durability and improved fuel efficiency and cover the 175 to 750 hp (130 to 560 kW) range. The company's clean emissions module and NOx reduction system are fully integrated, and the package has been tested to provide flexibility for cleaner, more efficient power with a 90% reduction in particulate matter and a 45% reduction in NOx.
