Providing design engineers with a rugged switching device, Trombetta’s programmable relay module can be customized for harsh environment applications. The module switches loads up to 40 A and features output timing and delay responses to external parameters with tailored presets and response maps. Typical inputs include switch- or resistive-type sensors as well as the module’s optional internal thermistor, while control input parameters include temperature, pressure, light, vibration, and other functions. The environmentally sealed switching device can be custom-programmed and offers a voltage range of 6 to 18 V dc. The relay module is suitable for on- and off-highway applications including fan relay; engine shutdown from high temperature, low oil, or high speed; flasher turn signal; seat switch delay; anti-backfire relay; solenoid multicoil control; low oil start; diesel preheat relay; and automatic lights.
