VSG’s Avizo version 6.2 brings improvements in performance and usability with the addition of advanced tools and feature enhancements. Program ergonomics are improved to facilitate repetitive tasks such as setting the position of a plane in 3-D space. Calculation modules are adapted to take advantage of multicore systems. The loading time of computational fluid dynamics files and the memory footprint of the application are reduced, allowing faster loading of even larger files. The quantification package also benefits from enhancements made to the embedded Visilog package. The Wind Edition delivers cutting-edge tools for numerical simulation, while the Fire edition provides enhancements in performance and quantification capabilities for complex materials analysis.
