Linear position sensors

The HSTAR 750 hermetically sealed position sensors from Macro Sensors are used in military and defense applications such as fuel/oil level monitoring, load leveling of artillery platforms, and controlling flight surfaces of airplanes and rudder positions of aircraft carriers, tankers, ships, and submarines. The sensors can withstand 400° temperature spikes and harsh environments. They provide position feedback for closed-loop servo systems and can function as single- or multiple-channel devices. Standard options include metric threaded cores, smaller diameters, and low-mass cores. On special order, the sensors can be constructed for immersion in pressurized fluids and exposure to radiation at 3x107 Rads for 40 years. The ¾-in-diameter ac-operated linear position sensors come in ranges of ±0.05 to ±10.0 in.
