Aluminum fittings

Parker Hannifin offers a line of aluminum tube fittings an estimated 65% lighter than equivalent stainless fittings to provide fuel, freight, and vehicle-transfer savings. The lightweight fittings improve hydraulic system conversion since component redesign is not necessary when performing a changeover. Fittings are manufactured to SAE J514 dimensions for 37° flare and SAE J1453 dimensions for O-ring face seal. Aluminum connectors are suited for applications requiring weight reduction and/or corrosion resistance, including military, marine, mining, transportation, and aerial lift trucks. Temperature rating ranges from -40 to +400°F (-40 to +204°C), depending on the seal material. O-ring face seal tube fittings feature a trapezoidal-shaped seal to improve retention and prevent pop-out associated with a round shape, reducing the risk of seal damage and leakage. Robust port studs improve seal reliability, while a lack of exposed threads eliminates the potential for washer damage and leaks.
