Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell selected as C919 suppliers

Commercial Aviation Corp. of China Ltd. (COMAC) selected Hamilton Sundstrand to provide the electric power generation and distribution systems for its new C919 aircraft, the value of which is expected to exceed $1 billion in revenue over the life of the program. The C919, which is expected to enter into service in 2016, will be China's first large commercial jetliner. COMAC also recently selected Honeywell to supply its 131-9[C9C] auxiliary power unit (APU) and associated equipment for the C919. In addition to the 131-9[C9C] APU, the award includes a starter/generator system and installation kit, which will also be provided by Honeywell. Honeywell will collaborate on the C919 program with AVIC Harbin Dongan Engine (Group) Corp. LTD.
