The M85 high-speed machining center from Datron Dynamics features a solid concrete-polymer machining table with 40- x 30-in work area and a 1.2-kW spindle operating at  30,000 rpm. The feed rate is up to 550 in/min. The model is used to mill, drill, and engrave aluminum, plastics, stainless steel, brass, and exotic composites. It is suited for producing panels and housings, plastic machining, and 2-D or 3-D engraving in stainless steel. Features include a spray-mist coolant system, 10-station automatic tool changer with tool database and tool-length sensor, MS Windows-based control software, PC, flat-screen monitor, and a full safety protective enclosure.
