MTA offers the PDU (power distribution unit) box to meet the higher demands of tractor and earth-moving equipment applications. The PDU features a simplified wiring harness layout in the engine bay, keeping harnesses safe from the water and dirt associated with harsh environments. It can be positioned at any point in the bay, and a protected input ensures compliance with upcoming equipment directives. The unit can house a battery disconnect switch or one mega fuse and is enclosed in a plastic shell with four fastening points. Tightly sealed, the PDU's three exposed sides, minus the output side, are certified to meet the IP69 protection class. With the vertical position of the fuse and relay holder modules, the unit is more compact, facilitating module removal when replacing fuses or relays.
