PVB-101 junction boxes from Heyco Products, designed for manufacturers of single-diode, double-ribbon photovoltaic panels, feature a low-profile design that maximizes usable solar panel collector space and low-insertion-force connectors that make panel connections easy and less costly to install with no soldering. The boxes are said to be the highest-performance-rated axial diode on the market for single-diode box applications and have a sizeable opening for conductor ribbons. Added features include practical internal volume and venting for good thermal dissipation and low interim temperature, cable strain relief, and an ambient temperature range of -40 to +105°C.
