The Niton XL2 series XRF analyzer from Thermo Fisher Scientific is an instrument for metal alloy analysis that helps users instantly regain lost material traceability. The handheld device takes control of material verification, recovery of lost traceability, analysis of finished welds to validate filler material and dilution, and confirmation of finished products, without damaging samples. It includes a standard analytical range of more than 25 elements. The device provides integral storage of test results in a tamper-proof data format. Multiple communication options include Bluetooth wireless, USB, and RS-232 serial communication ports. Niton Data Transfer software allows users to set operator permissions, print certificates of analysis to document results, or operate the analyzer remotely from a PC.
