Durable contact system

The PosiBand contact system from Positronic is qualified to SAE AS39029 and is suited for rugged environments. It comes with crimp and PCB mount terminations, including press-fit. The closed-entry female contact system overcomes weaknesses associated with the traditional split tine and sleeve approach. It separates the mechanical and electrical functions; the base contact provides a closed-entry feature and enhanced electrical stability, while the spring clip provides more stable mechanical function. Because the design creates enhanced contact interface between male and female contacts, it features greater resistance to vibration and corrosion factors. This greater area of contact interface is achieved without increased insertion force.
