Inalfa Roof Systems offers a modular roof system (MORSE) designed to improve both small and large systems, including sunroofs and panoramic roofs. The modular designs are said to use innovative materials, fabrication, and manufacturing methodologies to reduce mass and improve safety features. End users can recycle common components and subsystems to complete assemblies that can be carried over from one vehicle to another. With the modular approach, designs are standardized along with vehicle architecture to incorporate best-practice solutions to improve the entire system, including vehicle roof and interface. Features include standardization of products and processes, decreased development times, lighter weight resulting in improved fuel economy, and reduced waste and maintenance issues.
