The EPT electric powertrain testers from D&V Electronics for the HV/EV market are used for endurance, laboratory, and end-of-line production testing of integrated motor-generators and control systems. Engine simulation tests will also examine operation of the motor-generator with pulsation of the engine’s compression stroke. Endurance testing inside a thermal chamber is offered, as are oil and water/glycol conditioning systems. Hybrid motor-generator performance testers automatically measure motoring and generating characteristics, including a performance curve plotting torque, current, voltage, speed, power, efficiency, resolver angle, back EMF, amplitude and phase imbalance, sound, vibration, and resistance. The X-3 software platform is XML-based and allows development of complete tester software packages, with utilities for producing the test specification database, user interface, reporting software, and statistical utilities. Test procedures can be developed with a flow chart programming utility.
