Black & Decker expands presence in aerospace fastener market

Emhart Teknologies, a Black & Decker Co. specializing in fastening and assembly technologies, has acquired Fastener Innovation Technology Inc. (FIT), a designer and manufacturer of critical, highly specialized aerospace fasteners based in Gardena, CA. FIT has long-term customer relationships with Boeing, Honeywell, Bell Helicopter, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Embraer, and Gulfstream Aerospace. The company is known for delivering products using new high-strength materials such as steel alloys, titanium, and super alloys.
