Brennan Industries offers single-ferrule instrumentation fittings available in sizes ranging from 1/16 to 2 in (1.6 to 51 mm) in brass and 316 stainless steel alloys. Single-ferrule fittings feature a design lacking backward ferrules to make incorrect installation difficult; a ferrule only goes in one direction, so it is obvious if the ferrule has been installed backward. Incorrect assembly also is less likely because fewer pieces are involved. The fittings are preferred by some customers over double-ferrule style, but users do not have to change every fitting throughout a facility to the design. The fittings also feature improved vibration performance and are suitable for applications under a high degree of pulsation.
