C&K Components has developed a Hall-effect push-button switch with life cycles to 10 million actuations. The HP Series sealed switch features a noncontact Hall-effect system, while a high-energy magnet provides a linear magnetic field that detects motion, position, or change in the strength of the magnet to give an output switched without bounce. Benefits include essentially limitless electrical life and a lack of field failures for the switch.  Input voltage is 5 V dc, with a programmable output voltage range from 0.5 to 4.5 V and up to two available outputs. Operating temperature ranges from -40 to +85°C (-40 to +185°F). The circuit is virtually immune to environmental contaminants, making the switch suitable for use in harsh off-highway and industrial applications.
