Engine oil additives

Lubrizol offers two engine oil additive technologies suitable to help meet and exceed standards of the International Lubricants Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) GF-5 passenger car engine oil specification. The HyperZDP system protects catalysts and reduces tailpipe emissions by keeping phosphorus in the crankcase where it belongs and off the catalyst. It is said to provide lubricant marketers a balance of wear performance and emissions system protection. The Trident H-E-I technology features three points of engine oil protection against the potential harmful effects of water in ethanol-containing fuels, such as rust, white sludge, and freezing water, which can result in lube starvation.
