Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions' compact 35000 Series size 14 double-stack noncaptive linear actuator includes a precision leadscrew and a nut design integrated directly within the motor. The actuator is suitable for use in applications where a long stroke length of more than 20 in (508 mm) is needed. Specific applications include precision linear stages, X-Y stages, and other multi-axis systems. The linear actuators occupy a 35 mm2 (1.4 in2) space and are available in various resolutions ranging from 0.0158 to 0.127 mm (0.000625 to 0.005 in) per step with a thrust of up to 222 N•m (164 lb•ft). Models also can be micro-stepped for finer resolution. Manufacturing processes that use engineering thermoplastics in the rotor drive nut are incorporated, and a stainless-steel precision lead improves efficiency and reliability. Custom designs are available.
