ARC Automotive will deliver 1.5 million inflators.

ARC Automotive has won contracts to supply passenger side airbag inflators for multiple new vehicle platforms across the world. The Knoxville, TN-based company will supply 1.5 million PH-7 hybrid inflators to Key Safety Systems, which will incorporate them into side airbag modules. ARC says the disk-style inflator was extensively tested and selected based on its performance and reliability as well as on the inflator's ability to be tailored by the OEM. Production will begin in 2011 and continue through 2018.
