NUCAP Industries’ rubber-coated NU-LOK piston cushion snaps into the caliper piston and acts as a noise-damping buffer by absorbing movement between the piston surface and the brake pad. Instead of improving an existing technology, NUCAP created this new product that both lowers operating temperatures and reduces noise. The NU-LOK piston cushion has been proven in independent tests by Greening Laboratories and Link Engineering to reduce brake noise by up to 90% while simultaneously lowering operating temperatures up to 60% longer than brake systems that are not equipped with the piston cushion. Available in sizes to fit every type of vehicle, the cost-effective piston cushion is designed with three layers of high-tolerance steel and nitrile rubber. The NU-LOK piston cushion helps technicians stop brake noise and, in the end, stop customer comebacks.
