COMSOL offers the beta edition of its Multiphysics version 4.0 modeling and simulation environment. Version 4.0 delivers COMSOL Desktop, the all-new user interface that simplifies building and running simulations for users. COMSOL Desktop streamlines the product design workflow for maximum productivity. The new Model Builder with its graphical programming tool guides users from model creation to simulation results while providing full control and complete oversight of their simulation tasks. CAD connections are extended with the new LiveLink for Pro/ENGINEER as well as enhanced Parasolid support for importing and exporting geometry. Large-capacity simulation solvers and built-in cluster scheduling for high-performance computing enable users to create more accurate models that solve faster, according to the company.
