CNH, Kamaz forge joint-venture agreement in Russia

  • 22-Oct-2009 01:53 EDT

CNH and heavy truck manufacturer Kamaz JSC formed an industrial and commercial alliance to strengthen CNH’s position in Russia's agricultural and construction equipment sectors. As part of the alliance, the companies will set up an industrial joint venture aimed at initially localizing the production of CNH brands' combines, tractors, implements, and specific construction equipment models. Manufacturing operations will be located at Kamaz’s headquarters in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan, and are planned to begin in 2010. This operation will also serve as the manufacturing base for the local assembly of products in addition to those mentioned above. CNH and Kamaz will also integrate their networks to distribute in the Russian Federation both localized and imported agricultural and construction equipment belonging to CNH brands' full lines of product ranges.
