Alcoa Fastening Systems’ Assembly Tool Systems Division has developed a flexible quick-change socket system that can be used with pneumatic and battery-powered tool platforms configured to install a variety of break-off collars. The system allows for instant socket change without the need for wrenches or disassembly of any kind. According to the company, when combined with proper manufacturing techniques, this system can provide a lower cost tooling solution, improved productivity, and ergonomic benefits.
