The Numerical Algorithms Group's (NAG) multipurpose NAG Toolbox for MATLAB offers a broad range of mathematical and statistical functionality important to automotive design and manufacturing. Without the expense and effort of sourcing multiple MATLAB toolboxes, the NAG Toolbox for MATLAB can access 1415 rigorously tested numerical routines in its Mark 22 release. Three new chapters have been introduced: wavelets transforms, global optimization, and further linear algebra routines, as well as a further new sub-chapter and option pricing formulae. Extensions have been included namely in statistics, optimization, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, regression, random numbers, searching, and special functions. The NAG Toolbox for MATLAB also allows automotive engineers to easily and confidently migrate prototype code developed in the MATLAB environment to final production code in advanced programming languages such as C or FORTRAN while still using the same robust algorithms.
