Filtered wire and cable

  • 30-Sep-2009 03:46 EDT

The 200°C wire and cable from Tyco Electronics are higher temperature additions to the ElectroLoss Filterline family of EMI filtering wires and cables for defense and aerospace applications. The high temperature rating allows smaller conductor gauges to be used to reduce weight in weight-sensitive applications. The crosslinked, high-temperature, nonmelting insulation system offers resistance to the wide range of fluids in aerospace environments and improved heat aging/resistance characteristics. An optimized, crosslinked ETFE jacket provides increased flexure fatigue resistance. The wire and cable meet all mechanical and electrical requirements of M85485/9-12 and exceed the thermal performance requirements. Effective against conducted EMI, the systems attenuate high-frequency EMI and allow low-frequency signals to pass with minimum loss.
