1-D and 3-D simulation solutions from LMS have been adopted as system simulation platforms in the truck and off-highway industry. Solutions combine simulation capabilities and interfaces with CAE solutions and tools to study the static and dynamic functional behavior of components or systems in a graphical environment. The company merges 1-D and 3-D systems to address various commercial vehicle challenges. Some solutions enable the study of powertrain systems from subsystems and components to the entire engine architecture, while others allow vehicle dynamic engineers to perform fatigue life predictions on vehicle suspension components, to develop active safety systems, or to optimize stability control while reducing the power consumption.
