Vehicle dynamics software

CarSim 8.0 vehicle dynamics software from Mechanical Simulation accommodates the increasing sophistication of both its users and automotive design simulation. The latest version of the software provides additional features and support for advanced users while providing easy training for those who do not use the software frequently. A new database feature allows users to exchange encrypted datasets with other companies. For example, an OEM can provide a full CarSim vehicle description for a supplier to use in developing a component without releasing proprietary engineering data about the vehicle. CarSim 8.0 also includes improvements in the math models. Used to test advanced driver assistance systems, this testing not only involves the dynamic behavior of a vehicle but also how radar, lidar, and video sensors detect other traffic vehicles or objects such as pedestrians, parked cars, and buildings.
