Maxwell Technologies’ ultracapacitor components library is available for use in Ansys’ Simplorer software. With this model library, automotive and aerospace engineers developing hybrid vehicles and other electric-powered products and systems can use the energy-storage device models in their simulations. The Simplorer platform was chosen because it provides robust modeling capability, is widely used in Maxwell Technologies target markets, and adheres to the VHDL-AMS modeling standard. The ultracapacitor components library includes the latest offerings for high-performance Maxwell Boostcap ultracapacitor cells and multicell modules, helping to ensure that current and future customers have the necessary elements to develop the next generation of energy storage systems for low-emission, fuel-efficient hybrid powertrains, advanced electrical drive systems, and other transportation applications.
